Position Overview El Way Child Care and Learning Center is looking for a patient, energetic, and dedicated Toddler Teacher. This role is designed for someone who understands the unique developmental needs of toddlers and is committed to fostering a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for our little learners.
Key Responsibilities
? Developmental Support: Implement age-appropriate activities that promote sensory exploration, language development, and social-emotional growth.
? Routine Care: Manage daily routines including meal times, nap times, and diapering/toileting with care and attention to each child's needs.
? Classroom Environment: Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom that meets all state licensing and safety standards.
? Observation & Communication: Monitor developmental milestones and provide meaningful, professional updates to parents regarding their child’s day and progress.
? Team Collaboration: Work closely with the leadership team and colleagues to ensure a consistent and positive experience for all children in the center.
? Adaptability: Maintain the flexibility to assist with different age groups when needed to support the center’s overall operations.
Qualifications
? Experience: Previous experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare setting is preferred.
? Education: CDA Certification is preferred.
? Certifications: Current Pediatric CPR/AED and Safe Sleep certifications (or the ability to obtain them upon hire).
? Essential Skills: High level of patience, strong communication skills, and the physical ability to engage with active toddlers throughout the day.
